What is PickSpot?
PickSpot is a delivery identity that helps you buy from social commerce merchants more safely. Instead of sending money directly to a seller, you receive an order request, review it and authorise payment through our secure partner, track delivery, and confirm receipt with a one-time code (OTP) before the order is complete.
What is a PickSpot handle?
Your handle is your delivery identity. Share it with merchants on WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Telegram, or anywhere else, and they can send you order requests through PickSpot.
Why should I use PickSpot?
You see the merchant, product photos, product details, price, delivery fee, and total before you pay. After you pay, you can track delivery, inspect your order when it arrives, and confirm it with an OTP — and if a delivery fails, you are refunded.
Does the merchant see my delivery address?
No. The merchant only sees your handle and order details. Your delivery address is shared only with the delivery provider — never with the merchant.
How does PickSpot work?
Share your PickSpot handle with a merchant. Receive an order request and review the details. Approve your order and authorise payment. Track the delivery. When the delivery person arrives, inspect your order. Accept it by giving the OTP, or reject it before giving the OTP.
Is there a minimum order value?
No. You can order any amount. Orders with a product value below KES 1,500 include a small order surcharge of KES 100, shown before you pay.
When do I pay?
After you review the order request. You will see the merchant, product details, and total before any payment is collected.
Can I cancel after paying?
Yes. If no parcel has been collected from the merchant yet, you are refunded in full. If a parcel has already been collected, it is returned to the merchant and you are refunded the product price, delivery fee, and PickSpot Customer Fee. Payment processing fees are non-refundable.
Can I check my order before accepting it?
Yes. When the delivery person arrives, you can inspect your order before you give the OTP. Giving the OTP confirms that you have received and accepted the order.
What happens when I give the OTP?
The OTP confirms delivery and completes the order. Once verified, the order is final. Always inspect your order before you provide the code.
What if something is wrong with my order?
If you are not satisfied when the delivery person arrives, reject the order before giving the OTP. The parcel is returned and you are refunded.
What happens if I reject an order?
The parcel is returned to the merchant. You are refunded the product price, delivery fee, and PickSpot Customer Fee. Payment processing fees are not refunded.
What happens if a delivery fails?
You are refunded the product price, delivery fee, and PickSpot Customer Fee. Payment processing fees are non-refundable.
Are payment processing fees refundable?
No. They represent third-party costs incurred when your payment is processed.
Can I change my delivery address after paying?
No. Once payment is complete and delivery has started, the address for that order cannot be changed.
Is my money safe?
PickSpot is built to give you more confidence: you review the order before paying, you inspect it before accepting, and you are refunded if a delivery fails. Your protection runs up to the moment you give the OTP — so always inspect before you confirm.
Do I need to be 18 years old?
Yes. You must be at least 18 to use PickSpot.
Can PickSpot suspend my account?
Yes — for fraud, abuse, misrepresentation, excessive failed deliveries, or policy violations.
